Organise and Simplify

Less searching. An easier everyday life.

An organised entrance with open shelves, baskets, coat hooks, a cat and a small character.

Organisation does not have to look the same everywhere. It helps when things are easy to reach and simple to put back after use. A suitable place for something is often more useful than an elaborate storage system.

Start where everyday life gets awkward

Choose a small area: the place for your keys, the shoe rack or a drawer. What is needed there? What has simply accumulated?

Keep frequently used things within reach

Put everyday items where you use them. Things you rarely need can go further back or higher up. Also consider what children should be able to reach themselves.

Try containers you already own

Start with baskets, boxes or tins you already have. Test the arrangement in everyday use before buying new storage. A system can change if it does not work.
